The kitten we brought home from the shelter last year was killed.
From the way he lay, I'm sure he died instantly.
I cried and cried.
I'm so glad we found him and could bring him home to sleep.
We are burying him today.
He was such a wonderful, wonderful guy.

Hi Bill,
My black 'Fluffy' looks much like this guy…I share your tender feelings with gratitude.
Best,

Hey Bill… me too… I share your feelings…
The
The Blessings of the Animals that choose us as their Pets and Source of Living a good Life! I am always in comfort of the pure Unconditional Love they show to us and well know the missing of their presence.
Bill- I am sad to hear of your loss.
After I lost my cats Pumpkin and AshleyI wrote this essay-
I hope it brings you peace…
In Memory of Spirit Helpers
In Memory of all our pets
who we know are more than just furry friends.
With knowing look they tell us
that they are reading our thoughts,
feeling our pain,
loving us unconditionally.
They force us to be present,
to pay attention,
these deliverers of messages.
For all our friends in the Animal tribe,
here on the Good Red Road,
and those who have taken the Blue Road of Spirit,
Thank you.
And one day,
when it comes time for us to drop our robe
and take that Journey,
there they will be,
Marianne Goldweberwaiting faithfully to greet us once again
I so understand the feeling…
Much love to you, Bill.
I just saw this post - I'm late yet again. What a loss we feel when our friends leave us. I'm not sure what I'd do or how I'd feel if something happened to my little furry beast friend, Chandra Devi. It feels like they adopt us and teach us what stewardship and guardianship is by being there for them. You're in my heart guy.
much love for pets here — sorry for your loss. They are special teachers.
This is the most amazing picture – so spiritual – of all of the cat pictures I have seen on the web. Nothing replaces a loss like this but having a new animal to care for and start new is at least a substitute to help fill in for the loss. I hope you are ok now.
Hi Bill,
So sorry to hear about your loss. I understand the pain you are going through. The place I used to stay 2 years back too have a dog named Kai. I used to love him a lot and I still love him.
Everything is impermanent. I hope you will get over your sadness soon.
With Metta,
